Rio Grande Borderlands Ministry. This soap, pictured above, will be available for purchase after church on the following Sundays: March 5, 12, 19 (or as long as supplies last). What do bars of soap, made by Botanie of Missoula, have to do with a school in a remote village in northern Mexico? Well, the village is named Jaboncillos, which is Spanish for “bars of soap,” and it’s where volunteers from Holy Spirit and St. Paul’s will be travelling in April, to help build a school under the auspices of Rio Grande Borderlands Ministries (RGBM). Every penny goes to pay for construction materials. A set of three soaps sells for $20 (2 sets of 3 for $35), individual bars are $7.50. Botanie, Montana’s largest wholesale manufacturer of natural and organic bar soaps and soap making supplies, is owned and operated by Holy Spirit parishioners, Tim and Linsday Iudicello, who have donated generously to this project.
Soup Sunday continues every week through the end of March from 4:00 – 5:30 pm in the Guild House. We have enjoyed serving soup and sharing conversation around the table with those who have joined us on Sunday afternoons. We only have 4 weeks left! Can you provide soup on March 5, 12, 19, or 26? Could you provide bread (or rolls) on any of those dates? We also need 3 people to help serve each week.
Contact Paul Nelson at 406-360-2555 or click here to send him an email.
Lenten Lunches will happen on Wednesdays in March from 12:00 – 1:00 pm. Get a copy of Entering the Passion of Jesus by Amy-Jill Levine (discount offered at Chapter One Books) and each week we’ll discuss a chapter over lunch. Tomorrow, March 1st is hosted at The Presbyterian Church
of Hamilton. March 8th is hosted at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. March 15th is hosted at Corvallis United Methodist Church. March 22 and 29 are hosted at Faith Lutheran Church.
