Here are a few updates about what is happening at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church:
Angel Tree. Today (Monday December 13th) Ruth Anne will be at the church between 3:30-5:00 pm if you’d like to stop by the narthex to get a tag off of the Angel Tree. Gifts must be returned, unwrapped, with their tags by Friday December 17th. Kathy will collect your gifts between 3-5 pm on Friday. You can find her in the narthex or in the basement. The Angel Tree gifts support a family through SAFE.
Poinsettias for Christmas Eve. If you would like to contribute funds to the purchase of poinsettias in honor or memory of a loved one, please let the office know by Sunday December 19th. Your loved one’s name will be in the Christmas Eve bulletin. Leave a message on the office phone (363-3025) or email Rev Gretchen at email@example.com.
Christmas Eve Service. Plan now to join us on Christmas Eve at 4:00 pm for a hymn sing and other holiday music. The service begins at 4:30 and will include a special children’s sermon time to recall the Christmas story, music from the Christmas choir (organized by Jennifer Hammond), and a candle lit singing of Silent Night. Please plan to wear a mask. The service will also be recorded live on Facebook if you are not able to join us in person. If you are interested in contributing special music to the service or hymn sing please contact Rev. Gretchen. We are also looking for greeters and acolytes to participate in this service, if you are able to help please call 529-5581.
Stewardship Letters. A huge thank you to everyone who has returned their estimate of giving for 2022. If you have not yet done that, please prayerfully consider how you might contribute your time, treasure and talent at St. Paul’s in 2022 and return your giving estimates either through the mail or in the offering plate. This really helps us to create a realistic budget for next year. Thank you!
Warming Shelter. Please be in prayer about the need for a warming shelter in Hamilton. We are currently learning more about this need and we are consulting other churches, elected officials, Gary Locke and the Salvation Army about the possibility of offering our basement space for those who need a warm place to sleep during the winter months.
